Innervisions Growth Kit

I'm using an Innervisions Growth kit for my first harvest. I'll move onto PF-Tek soon.

I put water into the substrate as they instructed for 12 hours, drained the water, then put everything into the bag.
It's now been 10-11 days and I see 4 small mushrooms growing. That's it.
I'm wondering if I should have 1. used a fork to break up the substrate a bit more so that they absorb the water properly and 2. if I should spraying water onto the substrate regularly?
Their instructions say to just leave it along for 21 days but only 4 small mushrooms thus far seems like I didn't optimize the conditions.
Any tips would be appreciated.

1: Build a SGFC after the specs, don't alter the design. 2: Buy perlite 3: Take your tray out of the suffocating bag, into the sgfc, and watch them bloom!
EDIT: No don't scrape or hurt it in any way with a fork. and to your other question, yes, mist them with a spray bottle of water whenever the surface looks dry. You want the surface to glisten, but don't keep it soaked, so only mist when dry.

Open the bag up for a few minutes a couple times a day to air it out. If the top looks dry, mist lightly to keep it moist, but not wet. RR

I used a hot pin to burn lots of small holes when I did some bags with spawn I was unsure of. Had to keep misting a LOT, but I still think they would've wanted more FAE.
scatmanrav has a good pictorial for bags, I followed this more or less. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14743475#14743475

Well I do agree that a tray will probably perform better in a sgfc than a filter patch bag but I was just saying that I have seen those bags yield some pretty impressive results

Sure, not trying to argue here, just trying to emphasize it might take a lot more upkeep to get those good results in a bag, than the time spent making a sgfc. If he only got 4 shrooms, something needs to be done.
Opening it up like RR said will do wonders, cutting holes will give even greater results, but of course the sgfc is made for this and is the closest thing to perfect.
I guess it's down to what op wants, results/yield vs work spent on this.
