I question their patriotism if they don't give it to him. But it's gonna take him a lot more than that for him to make this whole thing look good by election time.

hahhaha. Now I need to stop laughing about Storm Thurmond teabagging someone so I can make a decent reply.

Give me a moment.

87 billion dollars is close to 1/10 of the yearly fund. Bush is an evil and horribly stupid man. What ever happened to our country? What about our roads, our schools and our hospitals? How in the fuck did Saddam pose an immediate threat?? There is no evidence that he is connected to 9/11 or that he has nuclear weapons. Bush is capitalizing on falsities and its revolting to see the American public follow like ducks. Why did we ever stop following George Washington(who also highly advocated the growing of hemp all across America) advice, and stay an isolationist country?

Right now, it's the top story on CBC

Didn't America just run a record deficit? Now $87 more billion? This guy is gona run up the debt pretty fuckin high!

All he's doing is making the public pay for those 'Project for the new American century' people to take over major global resources and entrench the empire. And they got no shame.

Who believes it's the war on terrorism? HA!

Wow. What if this guy gets in again? In 2004?

What will happen then?

Well when your the only remaining superpower, whose economy practicallty keeps the world running its a little hard to remain isolationist. What happened last time America withdrew from internarional affairs? I believe it was called world war 2....

I thought gas prices would come down once we conquered Iraq. I heard that gas is like 10 cents a gallon over there. but now gas prices are near an all time high ($2.19 for 87 octane in my area) and we're actually paying more than $billion a week and losing soldiers almost on a daily basis.
all this for what? to "liberate" the Iraqis? oh wait, the administration has backed off that claim... to find WMDs? no that's not working out either so on to plan C - to fight terrorism? right? but let me get this straight -didn't we just create another hotbed for Muslim extremists with this war? at the very least we created a fertile recruiting ground for these people. just what is the current mission in Iraq?

Good, perhaps if they stay that high people will consider public transport rather than polluting our air in favour of comfort.

Huh? You need to get that calculator out again. At any rate, I suppose you would like us to just bail on the Iraqis now?

People shouldn't have to make that choice. We should be using alternative energy by now.

I have checked the first 5 and none of them quote Bush saying Saddam was an imminent threat. Perhaps you could paste the quote in which he said it.

He didn't say it. In the first link trendal posted, they actually omit the part of his speech were he said Iraq was not an imminent threat. Somehow that does not surprise me.

You can look all you wish. He didn't say it.

What he did say was......
"Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent," Bush said. "Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike?"

Geez..... just a little bit different than what was claimed he said.

Poor libbies.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers
