Anyone else watch this show? Season 2 was a masterpiece of brutality and softcore sadism, it has none of the lightheartedness or comic relief that the first season did, which I loved. I hate the horror genre for the most part, especially when it has a religious slant, but this show left me craving more.

For those that don't know, each season has the same actors recast as different characters in a presumably nonlinear storyline. The first season took place in a haunted house and was fairly entertaining, the second takes place in an insane asylum and was the guiltiest pleasure to watch that I've found in a long while.
Season 3 starts Oct 9th, the opening credits look very promising:
Word has it that it will take place in New Orleans and, unfortunately imo, will not be as "difficult to watch" as season 2 was. Still excited for it.

Good horror mostly, though there were a few parts of season 2 that definitely got my pulse racing. It was more fucked up than scary though.

Wasn't great, but watchable for me. I think I watch it just for the intro to the show, I love that music.

Yeah I love that noise too. I didn't feel like the first season was all that great, but the second blew away my expectations.

One storyline per season. I like this setup a lot, one of my biggest complaints about horror movies is that I never care about the characters because there's not enough time to develop them. You could easily jump into season 2 or 3 and not miss anything.

tarissa farmiga
Also I feel as though season 1 had better creepiness and characters while season 2 was just messed up but had a better overall plot.

Have you actually given it a shot and watched it in order? What makes you dislike it so much?
To me it's like Walking Dead, cheesy at times and unbelievable, but I know what I'm getting into when I watch a zombie/horror show so I let that shit go.

Horrid acting, stupid story, not scary, annoying characters, I could go on...
I love horror, I watch it all the time, and AHS is abysmal. I stopped watching after the first season.

I really did not care for the second season. That disappointed me greatly and the first season was enjoyable. I don't even think I watched the last few episodes of it.
Hoping the new season is better.
