The good stuff, or cobweb? :\

I'm worried it's probably cobweb, because it doesn't look very ''ropy'', but hoping I'm wrong. Hopefully someone can set my mind to ease one way or another...
I think these are probably the best pics I can get.

I'm new to this, but they look like healthy mycelium. Notice the hairlike strands in both pictures that protrude outward from the center of their mass, as opposed to the chaotic spreading fibers that cobweb mold usually seems to have.
Someone else may want to correct me, though, but that's just my personal opinion on your jars.

that's what I was thinking, but at the same time, a few more jars have stuff that's the exact same color but it almost looks ''patchy''. I'll try to grab a few other pictures to show you what I mean.

Cobweb is usually gray/grayish and whispy.
I can't tell with certainty from those pics that is healthy cube mycelium, but it doesn't look like cobweb. It doesn't look like obvious contamination too me.

damn, looking good then probably
I know for a fact like 1-2 jars definitely have contam, I can see a very small patch of green in them. Is there any chance the myc can take that small patch over, or is it not even worthit and I should toss them asap? Is there any harm to leaving them next to my other jars, if I wanted to see how they progress?

It appears to be mushroom mycelium. It looks like there might be bacteria forming in there too, not entirely sure though. There are lot of broken grains and some excess moisture, what I'm seeing could be from that.

I should probably take it as a good sign, that almost every single jar I inoculated has ''something'' in it growing that looks exactly like those pics. I decided to prep a ''control jar'' that has WBS in it that was prepared and pc'd like everything else but I just didn't inoculate it like the others, completely empty thus far...
But yes ^^ there definitely was some pieces of grain and a very tiny bit of moisture that pooled near the bottom. Following frank's WBS tek, he soaks it then simmers and drains it and doesn't rinse it, I figured the small pieces of grain would be fine in there then as long as I pc'd it all. That certainly didn't appear on their own, so it's not growth lol.
Like I said only 2 jars have shown visual signs of definite contamination(I can see green), but other than that every single jar is showing at least tiny signs of that white ''stuff'' lol. It just doesn't look very rhizo to me, so it's what has got me a little worried.

Here's what I'm talking about spots like this
Little layer of slime and spreads across the grain.

The camera makes it look way dirtier than it really is, but I'm like 95% positive it was just from excess water that pooled near the bottom. It's not something that has been ''growing'', it's been there since the PC, that I know for sure.

If it's been there since you took out of the PC it's probably alright then. Definitely look into good grain preparation tek. Excess moisture and broken grain can greatly increase your colonization time.

This is day 7 in a ~65F degree room, does it seem like I'm way behind on colonization time?

The only strain I heard that can actually fight and overcome some contaminants are oyster strains, and I'm not sure how well they can do this.

1) no 2) not worth it 3)re sterilize and dump or just toss the whole jar. Your choice. 4)as long as everything has good filters then go for it.

exactly what I was thinking ^
thanks
As long as things keep going smoothly and no more contams pop up, I should have 8 good jars out of 10 for my first attempt
