Fast flushes and delayed dunking?

So I hear that the best way to induce pins strongly on anything past a first flush is to let the cake dehydrate, and then when it has, by dunking, you are "simulating the natural environment" which is like dry weather and then suddenly rain, and of course rain=mushies! In the past I would just dunk, it would take a couple days to really gather the fruit, and by then they'd be dehydrated on their own, and then I'd dunk.
Lately, I've been dealing with the B and they seem to come in FAST. As in, birth, dunk, and in 24 hours a flush is just about ready and time to dunk again, I did this (only my second time, the first time I didn't have this issue) and the second flush was pretty small in terms of pinset, but the fruit was large. Still, maybe only about half of the first flush, if that. It seems like the reason is it was JUST dunked. It flushed, and dunking again so soon probably does not have this "rain, dry, rain" effect on pinset. So I've let these cakes (2 of them that just finished "2nd flush", even though I would not call it a full flush) sit in the FC without misting for 24 hours and just dunked. They are certainly lighter than the ones that are fruiting or have been dunked recently. I don't see much info on dehydrating cakes and some people seem to think its a bad thing, but what about dunking every 24 hours? It clearly produced some shitty results to do that, from an amazing first flush.
Is this bad for the cakes at all? I just leave em for 24 hours and hopefully with fanning and no misting they'll dry out just enough to produce an awesome pinset? Btw I have never normally dehydrated my cakes, I just see that dunking too often doesn't produce much in the way of pins. The first was like 30. The second was 3 (even though they were much bigger, still, in weight much less)

Well first grats on success with your cakes!!
Pin sets, size, clusters, potency and the likes, are for the most part
governed by genetic traits. Do some searching on pinning triggers too
cause there's good info there. A large pinning trigger is the evaporation
of surface water from the cake. So misting then fanning creates a evaporation
scenario which is the "drying & wetting" thats wanted.
Simulating nature by drying and wetting
if you think about it is...imperfect, cause nature is, and wild cubes are
rare. You are trying to create a more than perfect environment taking away
the randomness of nature. Drying out the mycelium could cause it to weaken
and be more vulnerable to contams also.

For this reason I make sure not to let them dry too long, just if they've JUST been dunked, I don't wanna redunk within 24-48 hrs. I also am a bit skeptical about misting a cake that's just been dunked twice in the last 72 hours or so (2 full flushes that came very fast).
I have an unrelated question. When people say "multi spore syringe" is that referring to just a regular spore syringe? I think of a syringe that has more than one type of spore. For example a shroomery sponsored "B+" syringe is a MS?
And thanks! It's my second time, I've had a good success rate so far (100%) when it comes to mycellium developing in jars. I'm still trying to master pinset and things like that, which seem pretty random sometimes. But for sure when I dunked 3 jars that were growing super fast, all of them produced much less fruit than the first time. And usually there is some recovery time (a few days sometimes) after dunking, this was just immediate pretty much. 2 flushes in like 72 hrs.
As far as potency, I can't BELIEVE how insane the Cambodians turned out. I hope B will be just as good, if it were any better it might even be dangerous! Lol

When I dunked something I hardly misted in the SGFC for a few days. The substrate is then already soaked with water, you don't want to wetten it like a sponge, for me it's more like keeping the perlite moist, as to say spray against the walls and between the cakes, then moisten the cakes' surfaces lightly, fan (with a fan, not a lid ^^), then depending on how long you fanned, you give them only another few pushes so they keep a bit moist.
Never had completely even pinsets though...
Yes, multispore is a normal spore syringe, opposite to Isolated monocultures and clone cultures.
But surely you don't dunk every two days. you can put perlite on top of the cakes to give them a bit of a water reservoir.
And BTW Cambodian Cubes are tha SHIAT!
