I have monotubs
I have a greenhouse + humidifier setup (takes up a bit more room than I'd like)
Or I'll purchase some spawn bags when I get a chance.
All in all, I'd like to reach a point where I can sell some of my mushrooms at the co-op near my place, I'd also like to be eating my own food; tasty fuckers.

oysters are not picky...you can use cardbord soaked in water...layer it in a container of your choice...i use a 5 gallon bucket...oysters are also one species that you can take small peices of it and put inbetween layers of cardbord..works beutiful...straw logs work well too...dang near anything nutritive....Paul Stamets has a vid..shows him growing oysters frome them things they use to soak up oil spills with soaked with oil....hard to believe that oil is nutritive enough to grow anything..oysters are hard to f-up..they are a realy resilliant species and very hardy.....i got pearl oyster tishue syringe frome spore depot about a year ago...and im still getting amazing results...i just crumble a oyster up and use the raw mushie to inoc straw logs and cardboard cakes made in a 5 gal bucket..covered with saran wrap..when ready to fruit uncover top of bucket or drill some holes in it or whatever you need to do to retain the moisture...i would go with small straw logs manageable size to fit in a toat...works beutifull or the good ol pf tek works just fine

Be careful believing everything you read dude. I know of only a few indoor oyster grows on cardboard and they were mediocre at best. The rest of them molded first. Cardboard is a piss poor substrate by itself. It can be shredded and mixed with other stuff, but if you put pieces of spawn between sheets of cardboard in an apartment, it will fail.
To the original poster, the straw log and laundry basket teks were both grown and filmed in a condo. The laundry basket was placed outdoors on the balcony for fruiting during the spring wet season. RR

Haha, yeah I know how easy they are to grow... I would just use agar > spawn bags instead of cardboard though.
