Waxy layer forming on top of san pedro tea, should i remove it?

Im busy boiling down some tea. There is some dark green goop forming ontop of the tea Should i remove it? It looks waxy

Like snot right? I just mix it around real good when it starts doin that.
Also in the future eat it raw. Much better tasting, stronger dose IMO and much less to eat.

So its not just the outer waxy layer of the cactus thats causing this?

No. The whole cactus (fleshy part) is very sticky. And it wants to separate when heated. But, when heated some more, it will all come back together. It probably has already in the last half hour -- no? Keep stirring, be patient, don't burn it.
