BRF cake grow (sort of)

Ok, so this is my first post and only my third grow. Heres what happened so far, I started to make brf cakes but didnt look up any grows, so i forgot to grind up the rice. No real big deal. Then the problems happened. My apartment had sewege coming from the upstairs neighbors. Ive had problems at that place for a while, so we got out of our lease. Well, we didnt find a place by the time we had to move, so I stayed at a friends house, but this house has alot of traffic and no place to safely (imo) put anything like say 24 jars. So it had to stay in my truck, while it rained almost everyday and got to 100+ degrees in the truck. Bad environment. Luckily I only had 4 jars that had contamination. The cakes though, wouldnt completely develop after 2 months. So I said f it lets see, but the cakes wouldnt come out of the jars even with a knife, i had to chunk out pieces and spread them over the pearlite, what a pain. everything went ok and about 10 days i started noticing pins forming, cool. then i noticed in some chunks, that cobweb thin fuzzy light gray shit. I removed them, it seems from them being in chunks, its not spreading. I think. thats where a question comes into play. The mushrooms seem ok ish. but some things are concerning me. their growth has a seemed like they lack food or something, there growing in odd directions, with some twisting at the stem and two even split. a couple looked like the heads were starting to rot, so i pulled them, but after cuting the stem in half, theres no sign of decay. I cant tell if there contaminated or just weak growing due to the conditions of the cakes. I have since switch to wbs, but i did a g2g from the brf cakes, they seem to be working, just a little slower than i want.
ugh, ok idk whats going on with the image upload, but everytime it pops up a see thru blue page saying undefined in the left corner, anybody know why?

The stems going in all different directions and some spliting and caps mutating all happened to mine (look at my pics) and I followed a tek pretty thoroughly. I don't know if it is normal or not but they grew out fine.

If you cut them into chunks but didn't add any more substrate afterwards, you may be correct in you assumption that they were looking for food. This may also have caused the mushrooms to abort, which is what it sounds like they did when they stopped growing and started to rot, while the mycelium searched for a fresh food source.
Are you sure that was even cobweb mold you saw? It might have just been the mycelium reaching out. You need to mist it with hydrogen peroxide to see if it 'melts'.
Sounds like despite your adverse conditions, you've cultured a batch that is doing alright staying alive! You might consider throwing some of those chunks back into jars of fresh food (Assuming you can't find a way to work with agar in your current situation) and try to keep that particular 'strain'.
Good luck!

oh, and hydrogen peroxide? is that safe for the shroom? i sprayed a tiny spot with water and it disappeared, but anything fuzzy, which all my bases have white fuzziness and "melts" when water hits it. looks normal to me. i do believe that there is prob a lack of food for the amount of spores. i used alot of spores i had from a previous grow. on that note, is it ok if i made a sealed tub of sterile water soak the spores, but then i decided to try the g2g and two days later, the water had a frozen layer on top, i put it in the meat drawer (nothing in it) and it thawed where it remains. is it usable?
