I mean i know i would NEVER put something in my body that would rot my flesh and ruin my ONE life that i get to live. Who the fuck would do that?
I'm assuming that the quality of life for these people is so piss poor that they just don't give a fuck. They must be so miserable that they would welcome death. In the meantime they destroy what little they have in this life, their own bodies. Again, that's just my assumption. I can't imagine these people feel like they have too much to live for.

Believe me, I'm about as far from a Drug War advocate as you could possibly get and am adamantly outspoken against it, regardless of the setting. But the mentality that anyone NEEDS drugs badly enough to shoot straight up POISON into their bodies for whatever miniscule amount of a drug they know or think is contained amongst it, is just god damn ignorant.
Yes, I understand opiate addiction. I have had close friends whose lives have been forever changed by it. For the worse. And I'm sure that goes without saying, which says says a lot about that particular subsection of drugs in my opinion.
I think the war on drugs has enough faults inherently engrained within it for there to be no need for those opposed to need to step to the level of "Because of this people are shooting up poison that might make their skin and muscles fall off of their bones!!" If anything, such foolish and self deprecating behavior only serves to fuel the anti-drug mindset by proving that these "fiends" will do literally ANYTHING to get their next high.
There is a massive difference between the utopian ideal of legal, responsible drug use amongst consenting adults, and fringe people willing to risk watching their limbs fall off in order to experience a familiar high that they feel they need.
Drugs like "Krokodil" are the result of human fallibility. Period. Much the same way mass shootings sometimes happen when guns are placed in the hands of the mentally unstable, krokodil happens when powerful drugs are placed in the hands of the unstable. If krokodil serves as any example, it would be one in favor of the drug war. Just as mass shootings serve to show the horrible side of firearms possession. Neither firearms, nor drugs, are necessarily BAD, but there are clearly people who exist on the fringes of typical society who can make a strong argument that they are.
It is goddamn ignorant......hence the need for better drug education, therapy, and medication. These users are ignorant to the healthier life available to them.....ignorant to the facts about drugs use....and probably ignorant to what the long term effects of their use is going to be.

Also they are too fucking lazy to properly clean the finished product. Anyone that has ever cooked meth knows you have to clean your shit before its good to use. The method to make krokodil is basically the same as cooking meth via RP/I and requires you do an A/B extraction to get rid of all the impurities.
Futhermore, if codeine wasn't OTC krokodil would have never came to be and is also why krokodil will never come to America. Not saying it should or shouldn't be OTC, just saying it being legal is part of the reason it was an issue. Bigger reason of course is drug prohibition in general. If heroin was legal no one would be shooting that shit up.
