Interesting obesity-by-state chart

Interestingly, the thinnest state is Colorado, which also seems to currently be one of the most progressive.
The fattest states in the nation are in the bible belt.
What do you make of this?

That makes my mouth water....
Well, my 2 cents is... maybe it has something to do with politics. Bible belt = fattest = thinks jesus will pray the fat away?

When I went to church back in the day, a large portion of the church people were overweight. I remember the pastor always condemning gluttony and joking about going on a diet and the congregation would laugh but nobody ever lost much weight.
When I see fat people I wonder what it would be like to be a T-Rex and bite one in half. I bet a fat person is like a Twinkie to a T-Rex.

Here's my theory:
- The bible belt citizens are stupid because they are religious. Being stupid, they are Republicans. Therefore, they are fat. It's a downward spiral

That chart is the least-surprising thing I have seen today.

I think it has less to do with religion and more to do with the conservative's tradition of a hearty homecooked meal. Even if it's from KFC they get all the sides and fixins. And then you have New York who is too busy for such a thing so their idea of a meal is a hotdog with mustard. Colorado is full of a bunch of hippie vegans so obviously they eat lettuce for dinner. Really simple to understand the obesity percentages if you understand the diet of the native inhabitants.

The south just fucking loves to eat, too. I lived there for a long time, and every fuckin' thing revolves around a meal. Like goddamn, how much can you pigs shovel in?

Strangely, I eat less when it's hot.

Me too. I barely want to think about food when it's 38C outside with 100% humidity. Yet somehow these landwhales manage to waddle around shoving fried chicken in their mouths like it's their last chance ever.
Mind boggling.

I'm not surprised, whenever I visit family in North Carolina my mind is boggled by the amount of deep-fried shit they manage to eat. At least here in MN we keep it to once or twice a year at the state fair.
