It's that time of year again!
    #18932330 - 10/04/13 05:44 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Seeing some Gymnopilus finds near my part of the country I figured I would check a couple of my spots and bam!
Sorry no habitat shots,it was a grab and go situation.
I'm guessing the lot weighs around 5-6 lb's!All are G.junonius.
Notice the bluing aborts.

Hard to capture the bluing spots on these caps but they are def there.

Here's all of them together.

I have a couple other known spots I will checking tomorrow and hopefully I can get some natural pics instead of a bunch of mushrooms on my rug.
I was going to try some A.muscaria var.guessowii tonight but there has been a sudden change of plans.:awesomenod:

Kick ass Gyms!

Are you going to make a tea or just try and eat them?

Hooray for Gyms in the North-east! They were some of the only actives I could find when I lived out that way. Those are some really cool-looking specimens. congrats!

I always make tea with gyms.
I don't think I could stomach the amount it takes for liftoff without puking.

What type of habitat were they in? Are you going to send some to bloodworm? It would be really cool if you did.

One of my spots is in front of busy restaurant growing in grass around a maple stump and the others spots are in peoples yards growing in grass close to maple trees(underground maple roots most likely).
If bloodworm wants some samples I would be more than happy to send him some.I here he's been busy lately with his new hot mama tho.

Just send them anyway with the threat of violence if they aren't scoped ASAP. I've got your back if he decides to take you on. I've gotta warn you though, I've seen him with a knife and he's pretty stabby.
