Blair: Up in the polls

POLL BOOST FOR BLAIR

Tony Blair has won a temporary reprieve in the polls despite the Hutton inquiry and the problems in Iraq.

A Populus poll for the Times puts Labour on 39%, up five points on a month ago.

The Tories are two points up at 34% - the Liberal Democrats, at 19%, are down six points.

The Prime Minister's personal rating is also up, at 5.14 out of 10 compared with 4.92 a month ago.

Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith's rating is down slightly at 4.25.

Despite his party's poor showing, Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy's rating is a respectable 5.04.

Labour's rating is now at its highest since just after the war in Iraq was declared over on May 1.

The Conservatives' 34% also matches its best rating this year.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,011 adults on September 5 and 6.

Hehe, and then in another poll something like 46% of the public think that Blair should resign for the David Kelly thing. 90% of statistics are bullshit.

My point exactly read my response to the other poll.
