Found 2 firsts today.
1. Shaggy mane?

2. Lypercon? Gonna fry these up n give em a second chance :wink:

Your salamander is actually a Red-spotted newt(Notphtalmus viridescens).:cool:

Coprinus comatus and Lycoperdon perlatum and  Notphtalmus viridescens :wink: TY blufunguy!!! I first thought newt because I find the northeastern red spotted newts often usually in water. Thats cool. U should see the video!

I have read through a lot of sources.. there are supposed cases out there, concerning C. comatus, in Europe particularly.. Some dismiss it as likely false ID's, some have reservations based on the possibility of variations/occurrences where the Coprine content could possibly be sufficient enough to cause the metabolism problems...

Yeah, chances are you will be fine... but some people do get struck by lightning. lol.

I like to err on the side of caution, IMO
