So I found this on Wednesday while out hunting with raceme on Larch Mt.
I have cut it up into small pieces and dried it. Gonna get some vodka today to make a tincture but I wanted to ask yall a question.
Does the smell of this mushroom or others like it make you nauseous?
I am having a difficult time with the smell. It is so, thick and extra mushroomy.
Ugh.
Almost makes me wanna

hmmm strange, i like the smell?!?
It won't smell so strong after you make the tincture. Why vodka though? Why not grain alcohol?

That must have been a real thing of beauty in it's prime....it's gorgeous! You have lots of chopping and grinding to do!

Vodka because I read that was a good way to do it. I assumed grain alcohol at first. I know you make medicine with ganoderma and trametes so I will do grain alcohol.
You suggest grinding for a tincture? I have chopped them all up into little chunks and dried as of right now.
Thanks RD.

Ha! Great shot.
Just to be clear that fruit is not the one I harvested. That one was pretty far gone. You can tell by the drooping.

I use organic grain alcohol but that's $$$. I'm sure vodka would work too. I ground mine down to maximize the surface area...but that was possibly overkill.
Follow your tek, I'm certain it won't lead you astray.
