Best setting for a successful Mushroom trip?
    #18930170 - 10/04/13 08:48 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

As the topic says...I always wanted to go out in the forest on a trip,
I've always tripped  Home, since its the place where i feel the most comfortable..
Ive been out once at my first trip, just to get a beer, and it turned out into a horror trip, i felt like a schizophrenic..
So i came to the conclusion that people just disturb me, so i avoid them, but in the forest im alone just me, still im a bit worried if i lose my mind, and go crazy i can not just go to bed, i have to walk all the way through the forest like a zombie..

I like tripping in my own home.  This way I can still take care of my wife when I am having a good time and don't have to worry about what I might or might not get myself into if I was out and about.  That and have some Pink Floyd on the music box.

Set and setting

Try a forest or wooded stream that you know, no real danger there and trip in the day time...

I love waterfalls personally.... But being one with nature is where it's at
Trust the mushrooms.... Trust the forest spirits....

You will be fine

Yes, OP outside in the woods on a comfortable day (away from people) is my favorite. Bring water, headphones...and leave any cellphones at home.Maybe some weed for coming down... It is nice to have a plan B if things go south...I try to make sure my house or safe place is within walking distance.
I've never had to resort to that...just try to keep positive thoughts going during the come-up and ask for a connection to earth...I have had some amazing trips like this.:sunny::peace::goodluck:M

I've never spent the majority of any trip outside, but I'd like to go outside after the peak if I'm feeling it.

If you're close to a forest you can always star the trip inside at home, in your safe place... Then move outside as the trip subsides just to get the feel of it.

Yea headphones for sure, my favorite music would be enigma - return to innocence, or tool, depending on the mood..music is the key to a good trip.

My first few trips were with my good trusted friends, and with them I didn't mind where I was.
However, I feel the most connection with nature and the wilderness, so I find that tripping by myself in the woods is very peaceful, beautiful, and refreshing.:sun:

I love the garden in our back yard.  We have a fountain that gushes water in a small pond and lots of greenery around and trees.  Very nice setting day or night.

That sounds beautiful, wish I had a backyard like that! It's probably great for convenience as well since you're right behind your own house.

Alone in your home if it's a first trip.
Have a buncha of drinks (beer, juice, soda, whatever you like), food, and comfortable clothing. Get a good playlist made up and have some flicks to watch, or other trip material and space out :aweyeah:
