Howdy folks,

If you can help, please shoot me a pm.
Cheers

With edibles it is usually "live mycelia -> agar -> grain spawn -> bulk"
The best strains are fine tuned by a process of selecting the best mycelia over several generation to maximize fruiting. When you go to spores, you get all the genetic potential of the host mushroom, but not the fine tuning. You will have to do selective "mycelia slecting" for generations to get the fine tuning vitality back.
I can send you solo cups of any of three strains of Shiitake or Reishi, if you can work with agar. Or, given some time, I can make some dowel plugs and you can get LC off them.

Thanks.
I'll be growing these for dinner, not a commercial enterprise, so maximum yields and fine tuning are unnecessary.
I am not a beginner, but because I have not grown either of these species for a few years, I no longer have cultures.
I'm looking for spores, if anyone can help that would be awesome.
Cheers

Yea, if your goal is to grow dinner, then bag the spores and start with a known culture. less trouble with contam and random genetics, an much much easier to obtain. Ex. I have 12 different strains of shiitake and 7 different strains of reishi on agar... I have zero spore prints of any of them

Howdy folks,
Given that few people retain spore prints for these species, cultures would be more than welcome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have a handful of glass vials with brass screw tops and natural rubber seals for trade as an incentive. New, unused.
Cheers!

If you decide to go with spore shoot me a pm. I'd be glad to take a print for you. Though you may have to wait a few days before i'll have fresh fruits to print from again. Wedges are another convenient method of trading. I do belive this is in the wrong forum though. Should be in marketplace.
