What Degree Should I Pursue?

I am currently enrolled in a community college and must choose my courses soon, But I still have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life. I have a few ideas but nothing solid yet, I need a career that pays well but doesn't involve creative oppression or dry number crunching (no business or computer tech.). My interests are: Psychology, Anthropology, Botany, Archeology, History, Biology, Language, and Philosophy.

Then I would suggest becoming a waiter now and don't waste time with college or get a degree like engineering that will get you a job. Psychology might get you a job.

Law school is NOT any path to riches anymore unless you go Ivy and graduate top of class.

Do whatever you want... I would recommend Philosophy if you are interested in it, I wont lecture about its virtues but its great and you could really love it. However, if you can take more than 1 subject, go for something else also to keep your career options open; Psychology is good and interesting, and the field is huge, but some things you will have to cover in psych may be pedantic and boring... I know from experience!
Good luck with whatever you do!

Top answers: Philosophy & Psychology.
Go into Engineering and do the hard work learning complex mathematics. You'll be set with a well-paying job for life, no matter where you choose to live.

That is the correct answer but given the established interests I didn't even bother. Very few people can actually get an engineering degree. That's why it pays.

I'm Terrible with math and would barley pass biology level mathmatics.

Then save your money & go to a tech school. Learn electrical engineering. A friend's father did that & they are more than set; the dad also used his knowledge/skills to start up a solar panel field & now earns money from selling electricity to the grid.
If that's too math oriented, then get a trade in tech school. HVAC pays well, too. It isn't sexy, but it's practical.

Math or Comp Sci then programming wouldn't be too hard but would pay well.

If you're at a community college, then focus on getting as much math in as you can, because once you get to university you have to take placement exams before you can take math courses.
Other than that the AA or AS doesn't really matter much, but I would do the sciences just because you will have more instruction at a cc and they will more than likely better prepare you for the university. Most of the arts courses, besides the required ones aren't even worth taking imo.
Find a good science teacher you like and take all of their classes.

By good teacher I mean the guy/girl (probably doctor) that is challenging you and not giving a test full of multiple choice questions, but a test with short answer, matching, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank and essay questions.
It will help you prepare if you want to go to the university.
The last test I took was all essay and short answers. So don't get too cozy with multiple choice questions and think if you answer those right that you are doing good, because those are basically free points and I consider them as such.
