Roll up a cylinder shape that's bigger than 3/8" when densely packed between your fingers. Use a pointy object to push one end of the cylinder through the hole. The polyfill cylinder can be basically parallel to the jar lid with and then push one end in and pull it from the other side once enough has been pushed through.

How does this make you feel? I got a big hand full and stuck my drill in the middle of it all, in my hand with a way tinier drill bit than 3/8, I turn the drill on while firmly compressing the poly around the bit then with a little finesse I pulled the lid over the bit and poly while the drill its going then I back it off, I wonder how much is to much

You could always use EZ felt (stiffened). You can buy it at craft stores like micheals if you live in an area that has one or any craft store for that matter.

EZ felt is a brand name but they also sell other kinds you just want to make sure to get the stiffened. Just silicone it to the lid and you're good to go

The edit button is trippy too.
Polyfill, it's a tricky one that's never tricked anyone until now.
