WTF is up with my dreams.

Okay I just need to write this somewhere.
So earlier this week I had a very strange dream. I don't usually "see" or remember my dreams these days, no idea why. After falling asleep I began to see a dream at some point;
I was in the living room of my house, the same house I was sleeping at. Everything was dark, really dark, though I could still see. There was this kind of eerie fog all around. I wondered why everything was so dark, I went to the other side of my living room and tried flicking the light switch only to realize that I had no body! I was just floating around. I realized that I must be dreaming. I heard my brother call from the bathroom. I asked what he had to say, and he said that I should probably check out my room. Out of instinct, I said that I'm afraid to go there, I don't know why. He said that I have to. I slowly began to automatically sort of drift towards my room. I was up in the ceiling, floating towards my room. As I arrived closer to it, I could see that the door was open and there was this kind of bright white light coming from there. I was sort of very afraid and curious of it at the same time...
Now as soon as I made it in the room, I remember that it was filled with blindingly bright white light for a fraction of a second, and the instant that I realized that WTF is this I'm supposed to be sleeping on that bed but I'm not there - I woke up.
I immediately woke up, and I didn't feel groggy at all. I was insantly in full awareness. Scared, I put on the light and looked at the clock and it was exactly 3 AM.
I didn't think much of this until now.
I fell asleep a couple of hours ago, feeling very tired. So at some point I kind of waked up but didn't at the same time. I saw my room, but in some way it didn't look normal. Oh well, at least I was looking at it through my eyes.
I kept opening and closing my eyes, drifting in and out of dreamworld and then - I saw this figure about a meter away from my bed. It was like a humanoid figure glowing with white blue light, but I looked at its face and it made no sense to me and made me feel very uneasy. Like it's not something meant for my eyes to see. It was looking directly at me too. After about 5 seconds I got an eerie feeling of "...wait a minute... WTF?!" I blinked my eyes and instantly woke up.
Guess what. The time was EXACTLY 3 AM.
I'm confused and scared. And tired.

Sensation of being detached from the body, floating around in the house/place you're sleeping at, can perceive visually but everything appears dim & foggy, presence & encounter with a figure or entity of sorts...
What you described sounds reminiscent of astral projection/out of body experiences, and sleep paralysis.
Those are all very common themes & aspects of those sorts of experiences...I know how it goes since I've been having these sorts of strange experiences for a large portion of my life. When I was younger these occurrences would really frighten me and I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. I was so confused and put off at what had happened....but now, I'm used to it for the most part and find these sorts of experiences to be intriguing .

That's what I was thinking about... actually now that I think about it I distinctly remember that I've had this kind of experience at least once before, it was in my childhood. Intriguing stuff. Need to search more into this.

Sounds like you had a near death experience... You can actually die in your dreams (for real)
I was watching this show called 1000 Ways to Die and it turns out you can get this thing called SUNDS. It makes you die in your sleep.
So be careful! Next time you wake up you could be dead!

meh, so? you're not? everyone's gullible, the only factor is just how gullible you really are.
point being, his gullibility might be fallible, at the very least. but he can still strive to get over it, and everyone has a path. maybe he's starting on his?

Or what ever it is that's actually occurring...I dig it, I'm actually glad I experience things like this so often. Even if these sorts of things still frighten me every so often, it's just fear, when all said & done it's an interesting experience to ponder.

What he described has some similar aspects to a NDE, but that's not saying that is what happened....
There are many similarities and parallels (that I have observed from my own experiences) between out of body experiences (like described in the first post), DMT, Sleep paralysis, & Salvia...as well as stories & accounts of peoples near death experiences.
Makes me go hmmmm ?...

Speaking of something related to near death experiences, I remember the third time I did DXM, it was 900 mg and I smoked a joint at the peak of the trip and felt like I was dying, my body was burning and my heart was beating really fast and I was panicing out and felt like I was sort of drifting out of my body. Suddenly when I closed my eyes I saw a bright pure white light and it was pulsating with what can only be described as pure unconditional love. I remember a female voice "coming" from it, saying that "don't be afraid, everything's gonna be okay." At that moment I was filled with peace and euphoria and the bad side of the trip ended.
I actually saw this white light again later on. I was meditating with my mother, listening to a whole Shpongle album in a candlelit room. Near the end of the album, I saw it and it said again that I need not be afraid. This time it had a female humanoid form, but it was still pulsating with the same light and love. This was without any drugs btw

hahahaha. and you guys say I'm gullible? that SUNDS comment was obviously a joke, lol.
For serious though, if you want to learn more about lucid dreaming and dreaming in general, head over to dreamviews.com... It's my favorite website after the shroomery.
