Hello everyone, my name is Ingo.
I got into this whole new thing for me, being in another state of conciousness etc, after trying to figure out the book "codex seraphinianus". Well, my story is that, i can, everytime im in bed, just by thinking about this experience i had once ( which i now know is called hypnagogia ) i can get into this trance again. But every time i do so i start freaking out, because my whole body is paralyzed, and noise from like an adapter in my room sounds as loud as a train rushing trough my head. When i focus really hard on moving my body again, i can move my arm like just a little bit then all my functions slightly start coming back. Is there any way i can control this trip in a way so it would be fun and pleasant?
Sorry if this whole text sounds like a piece of shit, my english aint that good, and i dont know very much about these things.
Thanks.

#1 post! Welcome! I seem to be #1 in responding too. I only became aware of this book that you reference today. It reminded me greatly of the animation 'Fantastic Planet.' If you are unfamiliar with it, I recommend you watch it.

@OP - learn not to be afraid and use them to your advantage. Sleep paralysis is really cool once you learn to like it. Unfortunately I do not experience it anymore

It rarely happens for me anymore, but at one time it was a nightly thing.

I think you're allowing yourself to focus too much on a sound that annoys you. It's a lot like tripping where some small annoyance or troublesome thought can get amplified, especially if you're already anxious. You have to get used to accepting that it's ok when you can't move your body because nothing is hurt, and stop stressing yourself with attempting to regain motor control. Relax and remember it's not permanent, no worries.
Maybe turn the adapter /whatever is the source of that sound off or unplug it and see if that helps as well.

I get episodes very rarely. I do somewhat enjoy them, although I have to be in the right mood.
I used to get them more often when I was less judicious with my drug use. Taking a couple doses of MDA on a Saturday night would pretty much guarantee some sleep paralysis early in the week,

Yeah I found when I was using MDMA more years ago I would get them much more often. Since low serotonin levels has been linked to sleep paralysis, this would make sense.
