Habitat: I live in northeast ohio. I found these under a pine tree in my front lawn. squirrels have been picking at them. grass is kinda longer than our neighbors'. weather feels very temperate/warm the last week.
Gills: white gills, not attached
Stem: stem length is about 3-6 inches, and the circumference is kind of thick...maybe 1-2 inches.
Cap: The cap/pilus began very round and convex, and after a few days they have turned concave, upturned a little. They've really grown, too! Not slimy to the touch but feels very smooth and slightly moist.
Spore print color: spore print has shown up white on black paper.
Bruising: i pressed down on a decapitated pilus and there doesn't seem to be any coloration near the indentations after a few hours
Other information: I can't seem to note any smell from the mushroom, but i'm also sick. Friend does not pick up on a smell either. Also, there is no annulus on any of the mushrooms in this patch, though the stipes do look topographically rough, while soft but firm to the touch. The warts on the cap are an off-white, yellowish color. Aside from the genus obviously being Amanita, I am thinking these are either formosa or guessowii, but i really don't know! that's why i'm here.
i've copied the code for all the images i just uploaded. i hope this works:

To the OP: The bases/bulbs of the Amanita species are very important for identification purposes and will go a long way in working out an accurate ID.
