today went for a hunt for liberty caps in my regular farmer fields that prove to be good spots in past seasons here in the south west, but with no success yet this season, however i sumbled across these today. im really not sure what they are but automaticaly got drawn in by the amount of blue buising and need some help identifying.in the image you can see the mushroom with the bruising of which i found 3 of these together, in the same location i found the others which i presumed to think were the same but not as mature as the other 3. im not sure about the species or activeness of these but i got drawn in by the tell tell sign of bruising and if anyone could tell me if these are ,weather the 2 kinds are the same species or I.D of them i would be greatly thankfull.
habitat- found in wet, slight down sloped manured field, wiltshire, southwest caps- domed to flat caps with the fresher ones having nipples, darkish brown going out to a tanned brown, 3-5cm diameter gills- (blue ones) darkish brown, (others) a lighter that matches the outer tan colour of the cap stems- both specimens are hollow, 7-10cm in hight, .5-.8cms in thickness, white stems ( minus the 3 blue ones) and no ring. the 3 blue ones the typical tint. spore prints- brown

They start off blue and it fades. In some more than others. Interesting mushroom, but inedible.

Stropharia cyanea does not discolor as much or as readily as Stropharia aeruginosa. which, leads me to believe that is what we are looking at. what confuses me is the lack of veil remnants on the stipe...

intreeging comparisons of answers, where im a bit confused is that Stropharia have a lot of veil cover whiel these have none at all on the edges of caps nor any on the stems.

yeah, I was noticing that also.. but I came across a few pictures of specimens that seem to be absent of the remnants at the margin... however, there is always doubt to be had in documented observations that could be false...
My first thought honestly was Psilocybe Cyanofriscosa because of the strong bluing, but do they even exist in Wiltshire?
Doesnt look like Psilocybe Serbica.
Looks very similar to Stropharia Caerulea, but it is definitely lacking the looks on the cap margin.

i'm like 95% sure it's a Stropharia of some sort and not a Psilocybe. the features are just a little weird... maybe due to the weather and/or other environmental factors...??

The habitat is sure right for it! Rather than psilocybes...
other thing, is the stem lacking those white scales stropharias have?
Wish I could zoom in on these pics.. i could barely make on the gill detail on these.

I see it too. Looks like veil remnants on at least one cap margin also. Beautiful!
