how do the ladies feel about beards? (physically)

I was thinking about growing out a beard but my lady and i have a long distance relationship currently so by the time we see each other again it will have already grown out. But i was curious, how do you ladies feel about beards? And i mean that in a physical sense, if they're past the stubble stage do they hurt to kiss? rub you raw when receiving oral? etc. all input welcome!

I have a feeling Shroomerites aren't fans, I've posted a few pics in the guys of the shroomery thread and they haven't received much love - if any at all.
IMO the secret to having a beard that your girl will like is how you trim it. For example, anything growing from the cheeks/neck/chin can grow fairly long and not be an issue. You want to make sure you at least keep the moustache/handlebar/lower lip area trimmed back a bit as that's what will cause all the tickling. I've got a Serj Tankian early SOAD style beard going at the moment and Mrs. Jordy likes it. It also doubles as a good tickler if you can co-ordinate the hair onto your girl's bits.
And don't forget the following; 'That clean shaven guy looks super manly' - said no-one, ever.

im a gay guy sooooooooooo i can relate on a ladies attraction to a man and i will say this....some guys can grow a beard and it looks good on them. A LOT of men grow beards that make them look haggard and dirty and nasty looking.
Even guys who the general public would consider attractive men - justin timberlake, brad pitt, shea labouf, toby maguire, ect have all had BAD beards at some time or another. You can google it.
point is DONT be one of those guys.
also if your gonna have a beard.....dont have a neck beard. Or a goatee with braids. OR if your facial hair looks nappy or only grows in patches, keep it smooth or just a little stubble.
having a beard is a lot more maintenance to actually pull off looking good than just being clean shaven.
otherwise you just look like another dirty joe schmoe.

Beards are great as long as they are past the "prickly" stage, so perhaps longer beards are better than shorter beards in that respect.

I'm a new resident of Beardland and I've found the responses to my new look very positive.
It started on my 2 week trip to Burning Man, decided I wasn't gonna shave and see what happened. It didn't look too good for the 1st few weeks, but it's become a part of me now.
Plus my girlfriend is a total bilf pussy dripper, so it works out well for me

i feel like you need to be skinny most of the time to pull off beards, or atleast the scruffy bears or else it looks patchy.
when your skinny your hair is more closer together so it looks more 'full'
some fat people can pull off beards, but its usually only long beards that do it for fat/chubby people..
im workin on getting skinnier again, ive been told i look sexy with the short scruff/messy look by 3/4 the people, n then a whomping 1/4 usually my mom or my guy friends..
for some reason girls imo like scruff until you kiss them obsessively and your hurting there chin or something from the rubbing hairpoints.

I just went and bought a beard trimmer. Had me nervous starting out with it that I'd fuck it up, but it works well.

How about mustaches? Are they still popular? My job won't let me grow a beard, so I'm growing a mustache. Is that weird?

I think this Lady is on to something. Early certain stages of facial hair growth can be QUITE prickly. Stubbly is fine for me and my dude, but after stubble I start to notice his discomfort.
