Habitat: Ne Ohio. growing at the base of live tree and buried wood with moss. noticed green on the ones I pinched but couldnt tell whether it was bruising or discoloration from the moss.

the tree they were growing off of.

I might add there were only like 2 out of a hundred that were growing from the tree. The rest from buried wood.
