The bible is a book written by man, so who cares about the interpretations?

By that metric, no books are worth interpreting.

Well, trying to interpret with the mindset that the bible is the "word of god" is different than interpreting a great writer.

try reading the bible by what fits your own experience

because then you can see the truth that you know

the truth that I know is moderation is important (don't live by desires)
and giving is better than receiving often (help others)
and never judge (practice acceptance, forgiveness)

the koran teaches the same thing, help others is the best way to be happy and please god (most muslims know this)

For sure. The Bible can also be taken as one might a work of philosophy or fiction though, taking what meaning you can from it personally and not worrying too much about having the "correct" intended interpretation. Debate over supernatural origins aside, it's been a very influential book to Western culture and is definitely of value in understanding it.
