Any Polish people in the house? If so, what's Poland like?

I'm at a reasonably boring place in my life right now, would definitely welcome a change, and have been approached by this recruiter for some company in Katowice, Poland.
I don't speak Polish (not needed for the job), but the more I think of it, the more I like the idea of getting a fresh start like that. I've had a few before, never ended up regretting it.
Any Poles in here to shed some light on the matter? How are the girls / parties / psychedelics over in Poland? Do enough people speak English over there, to reasonably navigate through daily life? I've seen this nice invention called a Polish pipe, which I totally liked. Is there a nice underground drug culture flourishing over there, potheads and trippers and ravers perhaps?

I'm a quarter Polish, but I never been there. My mom used to hire some Polish ladies to clean our house. They were DAMN hot.

Say again? I'm not getting this one
So women I shouldn't worry about, check.
Do they speak English well enough over there? And more importantly do people trip at all? Now I'm really starting to regret not keeping in touch with that Polish guy I met at the Boom festival, his stash was quite respectable...

Poland is beautiful, somewhat poor, pretty damn cheap and extremely friendly people. I loved Poland although seeing the language constantly gave me language fatigue. Polish has so many consonants it makes German look Hawaiian

Katowice is not much special, at least it wasnt when i was there around 5 years ago. It is, though, very close to Krakow, which is really one of the most awesomest cities around there. Great party scene, drugs, girls, the lot!

Hmm so Krakow might actually be best for the traveling psychonaut to explore? I want to paint, trip and chill out in the parks, be one with nature. I see Polish cities tend to be quite green that way so that's good.
The nice HR lady listed where they have clients, namely Katowice, Krakow, Lodz and Bydgoszcz. This last one, I'm starting to see the part about the excessive use of consonants Lodz I read is pretty much a crap town so not bothering with that one that's for sure.
All I know about Poland so far is that two of my fave painters come from there (Beksinski and Jacek Yerka) and the language doesn't annoy me at all, like say, French or Portuguese do. The only times I've really heard any Polish are the 7-10 times I've seen that movie Avalon, so for now I only have great associations with it.
Wonder if this job thing will go anywhere, I really like doing the full nomad relocation thing. For 6 months to a year I feel really fresh, like I'm living in a movie and life is awesome. Everything goes a lot better with sports, habits, girls, going out, etc. I've never actually changed countries before, if the job thing works out this would be a first.

All I know of Poland, is that it's a huge manufacturer of (meth)amphetamines, and MDPV, and the majority of the stuff we have here, comes from there.
Also, Polish chicks are hot, but that applies to any slavic country IMO

There is a lot of drug manufacturing that goes on in poland, I have heard of MDMA & LSD manufacturers based in poland. So I'm guessing the drug scene should be pretty polific around there.

Oh God, the consonants!
I lived in Poland for a bit and I couldn't pronounce anything I read!
The language is tough, the women are very attractive, Krakow and Warsaw are probably the most exciting cities, and if you need a small piece to smoke weed out of, ask for a fifka at any liquor shop. (It's like a little chillum)
Polish people have a greater tendency to binge drink and smoke cigs IME, so be careful about coming back with a habit you didn't want! I came back with a few!

I was reading on this Polish forum that not only are the girls quite fine, but that most of the dudes are a bit on the meh side, so it's not that hard to stand out. "Goofy" was a word mentioned a lot in relation to Polish men
Haven't been there so I can't judge

Fifka! I've seen and even smoked one of those, from the Polish guy at Boom fest. Polish pipe he called it, and I thought it was genius! Borosilicate glass mini-pipe for the economical smoking of bud and other herbals, on the go. Pure wisdom.

I'm not worried, I don't drink alcohol nor smoke tobacco, and have a rather low opinion of people who do, I don't hang out in those circles more than I have to. Acid on the other hand, ah if they make good acid over there, then a fine dedicated customer they will gain for sure

Well from what I've seen and read so far, the groups themselves don't mix that much. Rarely will you see the serious smokers and complete nonsmokers say, married or dating for too long. Either someone will start as well, or someone will pretend to have quit, or more likely it will all go to shit due to constant frustration of a bad habit that's not shared by both.
47% of men and 23% of women smoke according to the stats, that's indeed a bit high for the men, but still totally manageable. In fact it may work in my favor.
Smokers and nonsmokers tend to bond with their respective group. Since there's so many Polish smokers, the whopping 77% of girls that don't smoke have a lot less clean non-stinking dudes to choose from.
At least that's my simplistic analysis about guys girls and smoking Would love to hear some female opinions on the matter. Is it a deal breaker for ya?

Update. The nice HR ladies just called me right now. Tested some language skills, and they'll get back to me (or not get back to me, as the case may be ) within a week. The city in question is indeed Katowice.
Promptly went to goabase to see what's up, and it seems this is the party lineup. Warsaw is about 4 hours by train, so looks doable. I doubt I'll come back from one of those psy parties without an acid connection.
Krakow is about 1 hour away it seems, so yeah well in range. Been reading about Krakow and it looks like it has an immense number of art museums to feast my eyes on and learn from. Da Vinci paintings and Rembrandts and only the pagan gods know what else. 28 museums is a lot to take in, no telling what could be in there.
I haven't told anybody about this whole thing by the way, if the chicks call back with a workable offer I'll be like, hey everybody, I'm MOVING TO POLAND next Thursday
