A friend of mine's siblings have a whole bunch of kids so he has substituted his swear words for "halleluja" (hes a Hindu ) and he ends up saying it quite a lot.

I came across the word CLUNGE the other day, now that sounds inappropriate!

The other day my fiance and I were getting ready to leave the house and I said "did you make a glass of water?" And he says "yes, I did you cunt face" he said it jokingly of course and then he turned around and was like "I didn't mean to call you a cunt " hahaha
You can call me a cunt all day, its not going to offend me.

Lol Romi.
I wasn't really offended. I just thought it was crude coming from such a pretty girl's mouth.
Also as someone pointed out, they use it all the time in Australia...so yup. Still don't like the word
tho.

You gotta know your audience! That's what really defines its connotation.
it's such a fun word to say, though; the syllables seem to cut through the air. It definitely has its place in conversation.
CUNT!

Depends on how its used and who its said to. Personally if anyone were to say that to me I wouldn't bat an eye. However you say it to my friends, family or especially my girlfriend I probably wouldn't think twice before I snapped. After that I might choke this person out or get em on the ground for good ol fashioned beat down. I guess I have extreme loyalty for friends and family, just not myself lol

It's best when saved for special occasions like weddings and the holidays, it really packs a punch when you use it properly.

I don't see why any words are taboo or off limits.
They're just words after all.

Some people including myself would say that, but she (we) were actually referring to another girl that was hanging out saying that.
No pics for you!

agreed, however "swear words" are not a taboo of mine and I think that people can say the most malicious and mean things with a smile and nice words depending on their intent and the context.
Gonna digress for a sec..I have one friend who is literally the most straight forward, objectively honest, and blunt person I know - but he's also a very caring and loyal person who is not in anyway trying to hurt people by being unashamedly blunt, he just thinks that respect is being totally open and honest with other people. He expects the same in return from us, and I have called him on bullshit many times with neither one of us taking it personally. We're friends, we obviously respect and get along with one another regardless of whatever flaws/pet peeves we have, and that's that...so we don't have to go getting all emotional over saying exactly how we feel, because our friendship establishes that we already think the other one is cool as hell.... I have also seen him call another best (female) friend a cunt in a non-joking way by waiting till she was done talking and simply saying "xxxx, you're being a cunt. It' not getting you points right now."....and she was being moody and cuntish, and she realized that, shutup, and we all got high and moved on with life. If she felt like she was justified, no one would have any issue with her calling him out and discussing why.
Meanwhile the people who have hurt me most, have always been very nice/sweet and most importantly.. passive(aggressive) to my face.
idk, I'm ranting a little. I've just realized that most people communicate and interpret social cues much different from me, and I just get sick of people thinking I'm being fake or trying to do something underhanded when I'm just genuinely trying to be nice(no, I'm not nearly as blunt or cynical with people who aren't my friends that I'll call them a cunt and expect them to just laugh it off.)
bahhh, idk. cunt is a great word, grown adults having sex with children is a worthwhile taboo, not curse words.
p.s.
yah romi's hawt stuff from what I've seen of her in dtc!

There's something about the word that I just don't like because it's used so frequently in this country. It just makes me think to myself "ugh" every time I hear it. It's used both offensively and endearingly and it's often hard to tell what exactly someone is implying when they say it.
For example, if someone calls me a "funny cunt", it sounds like sarcasm but quite often it's not so what the fuck am I supposed to think? It's incredibly annoying.
Another example is someone might be talking about someone else and throw the word "cunt" in their sentence and I have no idea if that person's actually been a cunt or if another vulgar idiot is just using it in inappropriate context.
It's confusing. Also, it just sounds more foul and in poor taste than anything.
Though I like to say it once in a while because it feels so much more offensive coming from someone who hardly ever says it and truly means it.
Sometimes it's satisfying to call someone an absolute cunt, with a big fat emphasis on the T.
