Orange cap, light orange stem, convex cap, orange gills, orange sporeprint. Doesn't bruise.

Looks like some big laughing gyms. And if so they are psycoactive.

Did you say the spore print is orange because the gills are orange or because you actually did one on white paper? Based on your photo I'm inclined to go along with nofind_um - that looks like one of the Jack O'Lantern mushrooms from the genus Omphalotus. If you actually do a spore print it should come out a pale cream color. The decurrent gills are another one of the major differences between them and Gymnopilus.

All of the species of Omphalotus should be considered extremely poisonous. They are unlikely to cause death, but considering that the illness they cause frequently lasts several days, you may wish you could die to get it over with.

They normally grow in a clusted habit as your photo shows, from wood.

An interesting thing about at least one of the species is that the gills glow in the dark. Try taking one into a dark room and waiting a few minutes for you eyes to adapt to the dark.

perhaps Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca (if white print)

Omphalotus sounds likely enough. get a print.

if you're satisfied we'll let it be. it you'd like to know for sure there are things you can do to get a better print. letting it sit for 12 hours is one of them. failing that, rehydration methods work well in many situations.

Here are some Jack-O-Latern mushrooms I found last winter. Notice you can see the white sporeprint.

I thought the coloration were a little different from your specimens. Also, I found these growing from a dead oak stump.
