From wiki 2014 United States federal budget
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_United_States_federal_budget
The resolution was debated on the Senate floor beginning on March 21, 2013. Two days later, on March 23, 2013 the Senate passed the resolution, 50-49, with 48 Democrats, 0 Republicans, and 2 Independents voting in favor of passage. 4 Democrats and 45 Republicans voting against, with one Democrat not voting.[14] The four Senate Democrats who voted against their party's bill were Mark Begich (D-AK), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Max Baucus (D-MT), and Kay Hagan (D-NC). All four of these Senators are from states generally considered to vote Republican; all four are also up for re-election in 2014.[9]
Like I said "Try to Keep up" maybe the Times missed that bill

Yup. And the House has passed several in the last few days.
Take your own advice.

Also from the same page of wiki
The Senate rejected the House budget on March 21, 2013 with a vote of 40-59 and continued to work on its own budget bill, (See Senate bill, below). Republicans such as Paul Ryan have argued that the two different bills clarify the differences between the two parties on issues of spending and balanced budgets.[3]
The Paul Ryan screw the middle class and give it all to the rich. That was as DOA as the current pub bullshit.

Right.
And that changes the fact that the House has sent several to the senate in the last few days.... how exactly?

No, LDS, the House budget was passed in Mar/April, as was the Senate budget. 18 times Boehner refused to go to conference. When there was one hour before shutdown Boehner said "let's go to conference" which Reid basically said "fuck you" to. If you reversed the roles, and Pelosi was Speaker and McConnel was Majority Leader, you would blame Pelosi for stalling for so long. Why did Boehner say no for 6 months? It starts with "Tea" and ends with "Party." These people wanted a government shutdown since the day they were elected. They have their shutdown, and now they're going to pay for it.

What happened to the jobs? How many pieces of legislation has the 113th congress passed? Or wait, sorry Boehner said they should be judged by how many pieces of legislation they repealed... How many is that??
JOBS JOBS JOBS JOBS... Then they get elected and it is "repeal PPACA" "repeal PPACA" "repeal PPACA" "roll back abortion rights" "repeal PPACA."
Don't even get me started on the state houses "repeal PPACA" "ban abortion" "disenfranchise the young, poor, and minorities."

What is that, 5-10% of the uninsured ON THE FIRST DAY?
IF the GOPers were smart, they would be tarnishing Obama with the fact this was a Heritage (conservative) plan that Obama pushed through. Instead they lie about the negatives while downplaying the benifits to score political points.
"What is your idea to replace Obamacare"

I blame them all, though mostly Reid and Obama. You know... the two twits who have repeatedly said "my way or the highway".
Much like the last 17 "shutdowns" nothing will come of it.
Also, as the new fiscal year starts today... it would seem your point about what happened in March is moot.

The ACA was the pubs answer to Hillary Care, it's Romney Care.
A majority of people don't like the Act. This may be true but it also includes people like me that think it didn't go far enough.

I'm saying it's a non-starter. Boehner has refused to go to conference for over six months, and then when we're this close to shutdown he holds the president's signature legislation hostage to try and go to conference?
"If you reversed the roles, and Pelosi was Speaker and McConnel was Majority Leader, you would blame Pelosi for stalling for so long."
Boehner has been held hostage. As a liberal/progressive, I almost feel bad for the schmuck.

So much denial.
Boehner refuses to go to conference for 6 months. Has the final, clean CR on his lap to put up for vote. Too afraid of the radical right to put it to the floor, where it would pass by a large margin, Boehner says "we should go to committee," with an hour left and suddenly Boehner is right. Somehow sending something to a Democratic Senate that they know cannot pass is somehow pragmatic. Somehow sending something to a Democratic Senate that they know cannot pass is their idea of compromise.
Keep spinning the truth. You know if the names were Pelosi instead of Boehner, McConnel instead of Reid, and Romney instead of Obama, you would be saying the exact opposite thing.

Why did Boehner say no to go to conference on the FY2014 BUDGET for six months?
Why did Reid think they can set the terms? Dems gained seats in the house. Held the senate. Won the presidency by 5million votes.
