I like to add a little darkness to my trip at times with music. Just because these emotions from the human brain differ from those associated with "good" or "relaxed" does not make them any less beautiful. It's all energy. Good and Evil don't exist. The human brain has just been conditioned to associate certain definitions with certain perceptions. But we are not human We simply, are Long after the human body rots away We still, are
Play these at your own risk.
Tech N9ne - Demon Dope - The life Marlyn Manson - cryptorchid
If you really want to get dark and are confident in your ability to not let your brain panic. These delve deep into what the human brain associates with "evil"
Scum - Love Gone Bad Slipknot - Scissors Eminem - Kim Chimaira - The flame

You know dude. I completely agree with you. Im mostly listening to dance tonight, but this one tune came on which was really quite dark in its key and everything. And i let myself enjoy the darkness of it.
ill risk it now as im only just coming up so ill have plenty of time to wash it away with nicer music.
Plus.. welcome to shroomery!

Thanks for the welcome it's great to be here.
Enjoy your trip and have fun.
Always remember when tripping, it's ok to simply not understand or not be able to define what is happening. Existence is so much more than merely what the human brain perceives. Accept and cherish those moments instead of fearing them.

If you like Hendrix you might like T. Rex. My mom sent me Electric Warrior on CD and I burned it out but it's pretty good.

Hendrix would be my favorite if it wasn't for the fact that I've listened to everything he's done a thousand times.
I'll never forget the trip when I just got the Axis:Bold as love album. I listened to it with headphones on and I was instantly sold. Jimi made the best tripping music.

Listen to music that you love. Every person/ generation swears by band X to trip to but I suspect it's more about the connection the individual has with the music.
Considering the shrooms amplify you're emotions I would suggest the music that already touches you would be best to take the experience to as high a level as possible. No point listening to music on shrooms for the first time and just getting your head around it when you can listen to that track you listen to religiously yet still find all the little hidden notes and meanings in the song.

This is a very good point. I often times listen to metal when I trip, I have an affliction for overly dark music and there absolutely is a beauty in darkness. Bands like Meshuggah, Opeth, vildhjarta, the Acacia Strain alot of the times have dark vibes that somehow go so well with the psychedelic experience (for me at least). Though I do like to listen to more upbeat positive music as well!
