Here is a nice spore print I made from the Amanita Muscaria I found by the river. I made 3 total.

You could make a LC and inject it around the roots of pines theoretically right? I have a print of an Amanita I was thinking about doing this with.

I am actually gonna buy a small Blue Spruce or birch and try to grow the Amanita's in conjunction with the tree. I might head to the mountains and grab some natural substrate to mix in with the soil just so that the acid levels are a little higher. My biggest worry is the altitude. I find my Amanita's around 8,000-10,000ft in elevation and I have even heard of people finding them as low as 6000ft in elevation. I live at around 5200-5500ft. I don't know enough about how this mushroom grows to know if elevation is a major factor, but I guess I will find out.
I will update as I go.

If you want to add acidity, you could try coffee grounds.
Several fellow MH&I nerds live in N. Georgia and are finding lots of A. muscaria var. persicina. The Blue Ridge mountains aren't very high--I can't imagine the elevation is any higher than 5,000 ft over there. Maybe var. persicina grows at lower elevations. I don't know how important elevation is...I thought fly agarics were pretty cosmopolitan. Anyway, I'm determined to continue my search, even though I live at about 300 ft above sea level.
I understand that people attempt to cultivate porcinis commercially in Europe and have for the most part failed miserably, but I'm sure it's been moderately successful somewhere by somebody who is very talented at sorcery. A. muscaria grows under the same conditions and they're often found together, so maybe looking into how/if porcinis are cultivated could be helpful. Good luck!
