You were talking about my statement to uzziel, dude...I specifically couched that statement in terms of him being a sole owner of a business.  That's what a small business is, bro.

Maybe you shouldn't butt your nose into conversations without reading the context first, holmes.

Thats fine that you two were talking about small business's, I came into the conversation specifically talking about Wal-marts practices. I thought I made that much clear.

No, you made it clear that you were taking issue with my statement about how uzziel would run a small business.

In any case, discussing how to run a business of any size with you is silly since you've clearly never done it.

"Congress doesn't have the power to effect any meaningful change in the marketplace."

Not true, the global trade agreements that started the off shoring of jobs has put us into this economic mess, do you ever wonder why there is no economic recovery?

Why have all developed nations (Euro zone, US, UK, and Japan) been in a economic recession for the most part of a decade?  Are all of these citizens lazy, or did a large percentage of the good paying jobs get exported.

Because 1.3 billion screaming chinamen (I know, dude, not the preferred nomenclature) have recently flooded the market with cheap labor.

Congress can't protect the American economy from outsourcing offshore.  It's an inevitable product of the world economy being as it is.  America must either get back into the business of innovating, or we're going to keep sliding lower on the totem pole.

Exported in a effort to cut labor costs, minimizing it is great for GDP.

The fact is, however, that when one runs a business, he/she needs to minimize costs in order to survive.  It is a zero sum game where every dollar paid to an employee is one less dollar in the owner's pocket.  Any owner who doesn't try to keep those dollars for himself/herself will not be in business long...and both the owner and the employee will be jobless.

:lolsy:

Are you fucking kidding me? So the success of a business is determined by how much money the owners willing to squeeze out of it? Thats literally retarded. As long as a business is generating enough to be profitable it'll be fine, putting money back into it, even in the form of employee wage raises is highly beneficial. Business's who dont, rarely survive.

How many businesses have you run into the ground?

"Congress can't protect the American economy from outsourcing offshore."

Sure they can, they have plenty of methods to discourage this practice. The companies that own these politicians are making too much money from this policy, this subject is not even up for debate in Congress.

"world economy being as it is."

No, this is the result of globalization and the polices that promote it.

"America must get back into the business of innovating"

Well, talented people in China, India, Brazil, ect. are now great innovators, it's not just cheap low-skilled labor US workers are competing against, thanks globalization!
