Siddhartha is a good one for sure. I'd have to say 1984 was pretty sweet.

Liveship Traders Trilogy sounds like the one ill have to check out.

Well you should off course read Kant's Critique der reinen Vernunft. But this will probably take forever.

Another nice one that is basically Kantian but backs it up with knowledge gained from recent neurological research is Making up the Mind by Chris Frith.

I've wanted to read The brothers Karamozov, never had though. Supposedly fits what you're looking for, i think.
