baby mushrooms too thin on casing?
    #1891332 - 09/07/03 02:28 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

afoaf's casing (50/50+) was taken out of the container early on. He's gotten many sprouts, and some have gotten pretty long-close to 3 or 4 inches. Tho, they seem very skinny... Is this due maybe to a high humidity? He's not been able to change his conditions (80 degrees, ~90% RH). If this is due to high humidity, what is a way to lower the RH? He Fans very often, and took out a lot of the perlite on the bottom of the terrarium.

What do you think?

so there can easily be a dry casing with high humidity?

yes...you still should mist your casings in between flushes and such.

this is still his first flush.
Is there a way, because of the amount of pins already formed, to wet the casing now?

EDIT: dropped humidity down to 80%.
Is there a 'most desirable RH'?

he pulled 2.... just, 2. :frown:
But, however bad or good this flush is, flush 2 is going to be leaps better, after it is dunked.
