Thanks for the update. It sort of sucks for the cop, but he shouldn't have joined in the mob. He should have actively been trying to make his fellow bikers stop. The fact that he is a police officer, and one of the bikers, and just having anyone at the scene to stand up and be a voice of reason could have stopped the events. I agree with what the prosecutor said at his sentencing.

shit like that is exactly why everyone should be road tested every 2-3 years.
I might drive a car but if I'm going highway speeds around a bend and hit a slight bump the chances of me dying are incredibly low. You however won't be so lucky. You are faster than me remember?
It's all good though, I need people faster than me on the road when I pass a cop so they don't give a shit about what I'm doing.

bikers are almost always better road users because of this fact. Because of idiot car drivers and the chance of death you NEED to be more alert. I wasnt talking about speed though. Im just saying the bikes accelerate faster than cars.

really thats quite a broad statement?
Every biker I know obeys the traffic laws. (except speeding in deserted areas that is completely safe). Point being I dont know anyone who put other road users at risk.

They speed, they ride in the shoulder when in traffic and a lot of them ride between lanes when in traffic.
I just googled motorcylist kills pedestrian. I got 133,000 hits.

THIS. I just had a confrontation with bikers who thought they could ride like assholes and I wouldn't let them. They started following me. It didn't end up like this lets just say they rode away without doing anything. Fucking pussies.

how is that breaking the traffic laws. Legal in many places. This is also done for safety. Hits mean nothing, Google how many motorcycles have died from being rear ended while sitting in line.

Bullshit. It is against the law for a biker to ride on the shoulder or between lanes. Just like it is for cars. They are required to follow the same rules of the road as everybody in cars. You want safety? Don't ride a bike. Did you see the link I posted? 26 times more likely to be killed. Those assholes who got upset that a car rearended some of them brakechecked the guy and were trying to take over the road. Assholes.

In California at least, lane splitting is legal. We have laws dealing with it and everything, but there are rules. Traffic has to be going less than 40, and it can only be done between the fast lane and the lane next to it, and there's a limit to how fast you can go. We might be the only state that does this, but I think one or two others might have laws.
Aside from that, I totally agree. As I said earlier in this thread, situations like this are why everyone should have a gun. Taking over the road, break checking, doing unsafe shit in general is a dick move period. I don't care what the other guy has done to you, you don't pull him out of his car and beat the shit out of him infront of his wife and child. Anyone trying to do shit like that deserves to be shot.

Harm minimsation. Same as drugs. If you going to do it you may aswell be smart about it and make it as safe as possible. Not everything is about you. Maybe you could respect other peoples cultures and laws.
Not the mention that bikes save HUGELY on congestion and petrol consumption

Australia gave you the LEGAL right to drive a motorcycle?
Your grammar shows the signs of somebody that indulges in duster or glade. They're obviously not to selective on who they give a license to.
