Habitat: Front lawn, hour north of San Francisco
Gills: Not quite attached to stem
Stem: Whiteish, about 2 inches long, maybe 3mm wide? (No measurement utensil on hand)
Cap: Tan, about 3cm across, convex with very very slight bell shape
Spore print color: I think it's black (pic below) but that could be a dark brown/purple
Bruising: Pic below shows three blue bruises equal length from each other on stem

Perhaps a Psathyrella sp. but that doesn't explain the obvious green bruising... I missed that when I first looked it over.

The lawn does have few of what look to be Psathyrella candolleana, and the bruising looks blue-green, more bluish, from my end, though my camera didn't translate it well.

I can say with confidence that it's not likely Panaeolus cinctulus, but it may be something more interesting than Psathyrella as indicated by the bruising.

Psathyrella sounds good to me.

Just to clarify, that genus doesn't have any psilocybin containing mushrooms, does it? I'm a noob btw

How do you account for the blue/bruising?

I must keep reminding myself of this. I must keep reminding myself of this. I must keep reminding myself of this. I must keep reminding myself of this.

Photos with better light could easily get a better answer about the blue spots. It kinda looks like there is dirt on the other side of the stem or something.

The second picture was taken an hour after the first, so I doubt that's mold. But, then again, I'm new to this, so I might not know what I'm talking about

Unfortunately, I can't really improve the lighting. But the blue spots are inside the stem, definitely not something on the exterior. They are like rings that are darker on one side than the other.
