Habitat:
Found in a wood/compost pile. Urban area in Denver Colorado

Gills:
Dark grey blackening with age. Other than color, everything else is too small to identify with the naked eye.

Stem:
4 inches long, very thin, white to buff color. Did not bruise blue, in fact no bruising occurred at all.

Cap:
1cm-2cm, conical, orange/brown when young becoming hygrophanous with age. Does not bruise blue, again no bruising occurred at all.

Spore print color:
Dark purple brown/blackish

Bruising:
None

Other information:
I just noticed these on a wood/stick/compost pile in my backyard yesterday. I'm not looking to eat them whether they are active or not, (I assume NOT due to no bluing)I just want to identify them. I have looked in all my books and checked up on Colorado Mushrooms, but I can't ID them. I think maybe a Panaeolus species, but if I knew, I probably would not be here. Any info would help, thanks!

Possible stropharia sp or maybe agrocybe sp?

Just a semi-educated guess.
