A shutdown would have as much effect on the economy as the sequester did.

Because they know that as the pieces of the law have gone into effect, they have been popular. Once people actually see what benefits they will get, they will like OBAMA's healthcare law. The republicans have wagered the entire past four years bashing this law and if people like it, what do the have left?
The Republican party really exhausted isn't it?
He is lying. The law is vastly unpopular and increases in unpopularity as more and more people suffer from it.

There is no evidence that a government shutdown will fuck the economy but Harry Reid and Obama would be more responsible for it that the House Republicans.

And the more they find out, the less the American people like it.

Gerrymandering has been going on for decades. One has to merely look at the 4th District in Illinois to see that both sides do the same. Why do you continue to delude yourself that only the Republicans do it? Neither side should, both do.

The nationwide vote for President is a separate vote than the one for The House and the one for the Senate. The winner of 1 does not automatically get their way with the other two, or vice-versa.
You seem smart enough. Why pretend to be dumb when politics is involved?
I'm just suggesting to you that, regardless the allocated seats in the house (you can't gerrymander the senate), the democratic platform was more popular. You are the one that just suggested that we should run our government based on public opinion polls.
Is it appropriate to cut off funding for the entire government to kill a law that couldn't be killed in a proper legislative way.
Republicans should go ahead and do this. They won't win. They are too fucking stupid.Quote:

Really? It hasn't gone into effect yet.
To ahead and believe that. You're basing your opinion on polls that show that Obamacare is 30 points less popular than the Affordable Care Act. Do you really trust people who don't know they are the same fucking thing?

Still doesn't matter. Fortunately, that's not the way the system works.

It would seem they are both about the same. One wants "A", one wants "B". Today. Maybe not tomorrow.
In the meanst, keep looking petty with dumbass comments like that.

Some of it has gone into effect and there have been a lot of companies dropping coverage and cutting people's hours to under 30 to avoid it. Why do you think 77% of all new hires are part time? Companies aren't stupid.
The fact is that when you have to see what;s in a bill until you pass it there is going to be increasing dissatisfaction, especially given the press perfidy.

Instead of focusing on eliminating Obamacare, why don't the Republicans focus on modifying it to make it better? Wouldn't that be the best course of action?

It's not "Obamacare" it's the Affordable Healthcare Act. There were already SO many compromises made in the first place to get it passed that it really is pretty much a bipartisan bill. It's pretty stupid to call it "Obamacare" IMO. (Not meaning you are stupid)

No. That would leave government involved.
A great many Americans want no government involvement. Government is how health care became so expensive to begin with.

Why some tools keep thinking only the other "side" sucks is a great mystery.
