No, this is not a money saving idea.
RE:OP:
Short answer is that the Republicans are a bunch of crybaby tools who are holding our country hostage just to get their way. They had every opportunity to work across the aisle and create a health care bill that they could live with. The bill passed. Their guy ran on the platform of getting rid of the bill. He lost. They have failed 40 something times to repeal the bill. We elected the representation we have now, so its not like anything illegal has happened.  But because these fucking losers can't just let it go, they're holding a gun to the country's head and threatening us- that's not compromise, that's tyranny, and it is absolutely unacceptable.
They need to do their jobs and pass a budget, for the good of all the country.
If they want to fix the ACA, they can present new legislation, and it will be voted on. But bullying to get your way is despicable.

The ACA (obamacare) is just being implemented, so to say it's been a clusterfuck is idiotic. Parts have been delayed because we live in reality and some things take time to be put into effect.

Actually it only passed because Peosi and reid played fast and loose with the rules.

You can repeat those things all you want, doesn't make them true.

The polls at the last Presidential election (the one where republicans got smacked down) say otherwise.

The fact still stands in any case, If republicans want to repeal the bill they can do it the right way- with elected representatives voting on it. This hostage taking way of politics is totally uncalled for. If democrats had done this to say, force an end to the iraq war, you'd be calling them traitors.

"Polls" lol

Majority of Americans actually VOTED for Obama. He was not elected by polls. He ran on a universal health care ticket. Congress has voted 42 or 43 times to change the inevitable. Why don't they do their fucking jobs. It is treasonous. After 20 votes one would think they'd get the picture. I think they figure that if they just keep people mad that no one will realize that they are not doing their jobs but are still getting paid to make the U.S. a joke.

The Republicans are trying to make sure that Obamacare does not take effect starting tomorrow. They know It will be successful. The worst thing that will ever happen to the Republican Party is a successful government mandated healthcare plan. They are scared shitless, little fucking craven bitches who are willing to tank the economy to satisfy their narrow, unpopular and psychotic beliefs. They were handed their asses in the last election. They made it about Obamacare, and they lost. Obamacare is a law that was passed by congress, signed by the president, and approved by the Supreme Court. It is disgusting what they are doing.

Patlal. The republicans in the House are refusing to pass a budget that doesn't include defunding the healthcare law, which the biggest part starts tomorrow. They are holding the entire government hostage, trying to wreck a law that has been approved by all THREE branches of government.

Congress is doing their jobs. They were elected. Opposing this travesty was the basic theme in some of their campaigns.

You should take the time to educate yourself on the meaning of the word treasonous.

No. You could summarize it as the politicians once again not listening the to majority of Americans.

Because they know that as the pieces of the law have gone into effect, they have been popular. Once people actually see what benefits they will get, they will like OBAMA's healthcare law. The republicans have wagered the entire past four years bashing this law and if people like it, what do the have left?

They have their special health care plan left intact.

The rest of us are left with more expensive health care of lesser quality and choice.

You know democrats received more votes than republicans in the house elections? Only because the states have such gerrymandered districts are the republicans still in control of the house. The last election was an absolute disaster for republicans, and everyone knows it.

The constituents voted Obama back into office. The republicans had the most pathetic performance in the last election, that they themselves said was a referendum on the healthcare law. IT IS OVER. They lost. Public opinion is registered every two years IN ELECTIONS. NOT public opinion polls.

I'm not gong to argue a law that has already been passed. The fact is that the republicans have this one option left and they are willing to fuck the economy to continue a debate that ended last November.

I know they received more votes. I also know (as do you I'm sure) that that has no bearing on anything.

Gerrymandering has been going on for decades. One has to merely look at the 4th District in Illinois to see that both sides do the same. Why do you continue to delude yourself that only the Republicans do it? Neither side should, both do.

The nationwide vote for President is a separate vote than the one for The House and the one for the Senate. The winner of 1 does not automatically get their way with the other two, or vice-versa.

You seem smart enough. Why pretend to be dumb when politics is involved?

No.  Another foreigner who knows nothing about America.  The Republicans in the House have sent several budget bills to the Senate.  The Dem controlled Senate has not passed one single budget bill since 2009.  You don't know what you're talking about.

The people do not want Obamacare
http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/09/15/20506193-poll-obamacare-remains-highly-unpopular-as-implementation-looms?lite

Quote:

A large number of Americans continue to adamantly oppose the nation’s new health-care law and believe it will produce damaging results, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Forty-four percent of respondents call the health-care law a bad idea, while 31 percent believe it's a good idea -- virtually unchanged from July's NBC/WSJ survey.

By a 45 percent to 23 percent margin, Americans say it will have a negative impact on the country's health-care system rather than a positive one.

Who's being stupid?  Obama and Reid and the Dems.  By the way, Obama has delayed myriad elements of Obamacare, by fiat, and granted waivers all over the place, including to government workers and members of Congress and their staff, by fiat.  If it is the law then it is the law and nobody gets a waiver or everybody gets a waiver.  This is Banana Republic governance by the Dems.

Also I just got a letter that my health insurance provider (Nippon Life) will no longer be providing coverage for any of the people in my class.  So much for keeping what I had.
