Could these be P. Semilanceata? They grow in my garden.. in the higher grass, pretty wet grass.. I can make a spore print too if it is neccecary [edit: i fixed your pics. you have to put a carriage return [new line] between thunb-image tags for them to show up right.]

Nope. I'm not in an identifying mood right now, but before you ate those mushrooms I figured I best reply. At first glance they appear to be a type of Conocybe. They aren't even close to Ps. semilanceata except that they are both small slender mushrooms. Read, read, and then read some more before you even think about ingesting your finds. Those mushrooms you suspect as active Pslocybes are actually probably poisonous.

Ah, it's my fellow countryman again
Ehm, could you muster some better pics? They don't look like psilocybe semilanceata to me (cap isn't folded in at the rim, color seems a bit off). Does the stem bruise blue a little?

Don't id on just photos. It's better to compare your finds with keys in a mushroom guide. This holds especially true for ps. semilanceata, as they come in different shapes and forms, but they should always match the keys. Actually, lots of people appear to have trouble recognizing semilanceata, mainly because of differences in the appearance of specimens.

a few quick q's about the last specimen you mentioned: 1.) does it have an incurved margin? 2.) what color are the gills? are they the same color as the others? 3.) is the stipe brittle? if not, what is the texture like? 4.) is theere any bruising reaction? if yes; what color?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we all know its better to ID comparing descriptions than to ID from a photo alone. But a picture is still worth a thousands words. And when something is as apparently different as apples and oranges, there is no need to compare descriptions of each. Those are very obviously not Ps. semilanceata.

yes, the fact that they are not P. semilanceata has been established already. i'm still willing to give an oppinion on the other specimen that was mentioned because ShroomyJ doesn't seem satisfied yet.

I know it, you know it, but I had the impression that ShroomyJ didn't. Not trying to offend anyone here, just trying to help... And yes, they obviously aren't semilanceata, but many people obviously don't see that right away. In that case, keys might come in handy, as they give even unexperienced hunters a definite "no", while based on photos they're not sure...

i assume you mean teh lawnmower mushroom [Panaeolina foenisecii] as i am unfamiliar with any psilocybe with taht common name.
this mushroom is niether a Psilocybe or a Pan. i am inclined to go with LK on his provisional id of Conocybe sp. based on the overall apearance, gill structure/attachemnt and the rust-brown gill color wich may be indicative of spore deposite color.

The other.. well i found only one in the garden.. But.. if this is semilanceata I will recognize it in the future.. (I know it was too small to pick yet but hell.. ) Stem is white, you could make a knot in it.. very soft material., cap was lightly brownish, but now turning darker.. No blueing.. yet Please wait a min for the pic. [edit] It's not bluing it's browning! And the stem is becoming reddish brownish. But.. what are gills??

gills [lamellae] are the radial plates attached to the underside of the cap [pileus]. they are the fertile tissue of the agaricales [an order of fungi, to wich all "true" mushrooms belong] upon wich the spores are produced. i am not entirely certain what your mushroom is; though apart from the bruising you mentioned and the flexible stipe they look to be a Coprinus species. I'll let you know in a few minutes.

without a complete writeup i can't really get far beyond genus. this genus is riddled with copmplexes and much of the time there is micorscopy work involved in determining species.
