HoneyMan state park, Florence, Oregon.
slimy cap and stalk. bruised a purple color. spore print yet to fall.
 picture says all.
nice red/orange color for cap and somewhat in stalk.
no gills, a sponge bottom to red/brown cap.
 yep.
solid chunk growing in more so than out of ground. interesting thing.
very much a yellow tint to cap. different than other white capped in near area.
going to look for some identification labels to add onto. any I.D.eas?

Nothing active here. #1 may be Cortinarius vanduzerensis. I bet it was very cold and slippery.

3 and 4 are small boletes but pic of underside of cap would help

Ha ha. Last year I threw one at my hunting partner and told him to catch.
2 and 3 appear to be Russula sp.
4 and 5 are some type of Boletus. 4 is most likekly in Suillus.

I'll admit I did post in haste.Do you think it's even in the Cortinarius genus?

I worked it through the key in Mushrooms Demystified and I came up with a possibility of a Cortinarius collinitus var.
