Noob Questions

okay so i have been searching everywhere for baeos and stintzii but i cant seems to locate them.. but cyan season is approaching.. and in the PNW thread i believe there are already pics of pins in someones garden SO. i guess my main question is about locations cuz they say to look in park flower beds and what not with woodchips and bark multch or w/e and other places like that.. well i live in the puget sound area and we have alot of these small foresty sections that run down to the water
so im wondering if im better off continueing to look around parks and schools and parking strips and what not or if looking in those lil woodsy areas would be worth looking
in my research i have found alot of references to things stating looking in the woods is a bad place to look or somthing. but i just dont get why im not finding them out of the woods i really do look pretty hard lol
also is there any really common spieces of muchrooms i can see growing in places that will rule out any stuntzii or baeos? like if some toxic mycena has taken a hold of that lawn should i move on or can any spieces be growing on the same lawns as stuntzii can?

I think you answered your own question.
You should check out the forum rules page.
I am pretty sure asking about active locations is a no no.
Look for the wood chips and they will come.

Also, you are in the best place on this continent to find wood-loving actives.
You should be telling us not asking us.
Go out and hoooooooooooont!

Ah yeah, you are right about the question.
Yeah man, I know it gets frustrating. It took me 3 seasons to finally find some cyans. You can imagine how excited I was. I literally was dancing and yelling on the spot.

I subsequently found 3 more patches that same week.
You don't find them they find YOU!
jk
But really you gotta put in the time and just keep looking.
Make it a fun thing not a tedious thing. Look at every mushroom you find and ID it. You will brush up on knowledge and eventually find what you are looking for.
Good luck young padowan.
