No-one forces you to buy a car. The Federal government does not force you to buy car insurance.

No one forces you to get born either.

This is true only in regions where reason prevails sufficiently to keep Republican power in check. However I believe they have succeeded time and time again in the South at making abortions an expensive, time-consuming, embarrassing ordeal for women. In some places you have to drive for hundreds of miles in the first place. So yes, I am pretty sure they succeed in many cases.

Next up:  Republicans stage hunger strike (not for themselves but for poor people) until Roe v Wade is overturned.

Wasn't the death panel thing proven to be absolute bullshit by several different parties?

No. While the term is moronic and hyperbolic, the function of the panel remains the same.

The only death panels are the private insurance companies who decide whether or not they will pay for treatments.

Private insurance is the most freedom limiting type of payment system. They choose which doctors you can see and which treatments you get. Sure, you can pay out of pocket for everything, but Obamacare doesn't change that.

The only time government gets between you and your doctor is when they require medically unnecessary procedures to make getting an abortion as difficult as possible.

Wrong again.

ObamaCare ‘death panel’ faces growing opposition from Democrats
By Elise Viebeck - 08/08/13 05:00 AM ET

ObamaCare’s cost-cutting board — memorably called a “death panel” by Sarah Palin — is facing growing opposition from Democrats who say it will harm people on Medicare.

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean drew attention to the board designed to limit Medicare cost growth when he called for its repeal in an op-ed late last month.

Dean was quickly criticized by supporters of the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB), who noted his ties to the healthcare industry as an adviser to a major D.C. lobbying firm.

But the former Vermont governor is not the only Democrat looking to kill the panel.

A wave of vulnerable Democrats over the past three months has signed on to bills repealing the board’s powers, including Sen. Mark Pryor (Ark.) and Reps. Ron Barber (Ariz.), Ann Kirkpatrick (Ariz.), Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) and Elizabeth Esty (Conn.).

Breaking Bad's story couldn't have happened if Walt had access to affordable healthcare, therefore Obamacare is bad.

While I have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad, I am familiar with the basic premise.

Based on that premise, you should read your response again.

Unless my knowledge of the story is wrong, Walt became a meth dealer because he was going to die... correct?

Therefore if he had insurance, he'd have not started selling meth.

Had he not started selling meth (in your dream world) others would not have been affected/killed/addicted. Seems like (in your dream world) that would make Obamacare good.

Of course in the real world... someone else would have.

When Bush left office 85% of Americans had health insurance. Instead of addressing the %15 that didn't, Obama decided to fuck around with EVERYONES insurance..even those who already have it. Harry Reid admitted that the goal is to move to a single payer system. This basically means everyone would be on medicare. doesn't sound like a capitalist country..

I would fully support a single payer system. Are you saying that Canada isn't a capitalist country?
