Found these little blue guys, help id please?
    #18910176 - 09/30/13 07:09 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Habitat:
Rhineland-Pfalz Germany, mossy area under trees in the woods with occasional long angel hair like grasses busting from the ground. Little bit of sunlight can shine through a hole in the tree canopy when its rising.

Gills:
From what I can tell they are blueish and attached. Good distance from one gill vein to another.

Stem:
about 3/4 the size of a lighter...also blue.

Extra info: There are many kinds of mushrooms that grow in this interesting small wooded area near my house (mostly edibles and just general fungus), but when you get to the back end of this area it starts to turn into a lot of moss with clumps of grass growing everywhere. The other mushrooms ive found near this little spot(posted earlier in the summer) grow all around it. These little blue guys were growing by themselves in the actual grassyish area and its the only place I have ever seen them.

See pictures below!

Can you please help me identify? Thanks!

Cortinarius definitely, I think violaceus.

Not violaceus actually that's a bigger purple cort. Oh and these mushrooms you picked are clealy a pale purple, with some orange on the lower half of the stipe. If you assume that every mushroom you see has no blue coloration unless it's glaringly obvious I think you will agree.

Cortinarius iodeoides is alot closer than my retarded species level brain fart a few minutes ago. Also I just realized that my second post might come across kind of dickish. I apologize if that's the case and did not intend offense!

Looks off for C. violaceus. Too small in size, and seemingly lacking the bulbous base.

I'm leaning towards Laccaria amethystina.

Those don't look much like Laccaria other than the size and similar basic shape. Most L. amethystina have a much more vibrant, uniform color and Laccaria in general do not look tough like these do, I immediately posted again that they were not C. violaceus and that C. violaceus was a far larger purple cort, I'm not married to my adjusted ID of Cortinarius iodeoides but these clearly aren't any Laccaria.

They look like Laccaria Amethystina to me?
Some features that show this are:
The depression on the caps
The lines running along the length of the stem
The widely spaced and decurrent gills
There are no visible signs of rusty brown spores in these pictures, although it is damn near impossible to tell from these pics.

I have seen Laccaria amythystina many times in person, never anywhere close to that pale. There are pics on google labeled L amethystina that look alot more like these than any of the ones I have seen so I guess it is possible, but none have orange stem bases.
