SOBER OCTOBER
    #18910156 - 09/30/13 06:59 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Friend came up with this idea and I thought to give it a shot... so here we are extending the invitation.

Each on their own, no rules, no guidelines.

Little as just buzz or full blown toxins, your saying.

For those willing to give it a shot, you may refer back to the thread for support, 30 days can be a long time for some of us.

:inlove3: Good Luck! and Happy Detox!

you may find my friend's thread here... Sober October by DNKYD

Is not a good idea to combine 8ft long stilts and buzz... but you got a point there tho! We might have to call it a day shorter :gooby:

do you work at a haunted house on Halloween? I did a few years back and I was a scary tree! I had to wear 8' tall stilts and I definatly wasn't sober:lol: I did keep have to calling for a runner to help come pick me up when I fell over!! hahaha

at any rate if I was gonna pick a month to be sober I'd do January. nothing special happens in january!!

No I don't get pay for that... I probably should LOL!

We walk both of the main parades here and we have a blast doing it so... Becoming a bit of a tradition now.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday.

@mad:scary drunk tree falling over, I gotta see this!

Thanks man! Your list is impressive, my friend recently became aware of a gluten allergy causing him health problems. That stuff is an awfully inconvenient thing to avoid!

The worst!... At one point we thought that wheat was the healthy way to go... and now we got all this gluten in-deficiency because of it.

Thing is on EVERYTHING so unless you are eating leafy greens all day every day you are not safe of the damages of gluten. =(

I know, its terrible! Just having him over as a party guest to my house is a mission and a half finding food, snacks, beverages and condiments for one day! I could not imagine the difficulties in doing that every day. Are you also allergic or just health-conscious?

I think a lot of people get placebo effect gluten allergies. It's funny because when I lived in a hippie town, about half the people I met claimed to have gluten problems. Where I live now, I haven't met a single one. It's kinda a fashionable dietary thing right now. Not to say the celiac's isn't a real disease because it is, but all these hippies that are all like "gluten is evil" are just falling for another fad.

September was my mostly sober month.

Hmmm...I'll join you.

Starting a new job so, a sober october cut a day short for halloween ofc, is likely what some would call a 'smart' decision?

Been working on that part of myself, decision making and what not. :guiltyascharged:

im down. count me in!
