Possibly chanterelles?
    #18903101 - 09/28/13 02:47 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Found tons of these out in the woods and wanna double check that they're chanterelles. No apparent bruising and no noticeable scent.

Saute the extras in butter and freeze for later consumption.

Lots of vitamin D which is important for us up in the North.

SO VERY PERFECT

I want some chants just like those.

Where are you, op?  Generally...

--------------------
"Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats."

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

It seems as though most of the chantrelle posts I see on here are in Oregon. Are they as plentiful In WA?

Nice, clean, not water logged and Chunky!

EXCELLENT FINDS.

Did you clean these off first or did you find them this clean???

I love when I find pristine chants like these, always the best.

Oh yeah. Washington is off the hook this year.

There are a couple of us who go up to Washington and hunt then post it.

Really shouldn't be too hard. Find a gated logging road. Look for second growth doug fir forest with trees about 6-12" in diameter and lots of needle duff, not so much understory or bushes.
