I was having trouble getting these cakes to pin and eventually put them in bubble wrap houses cut the misting down to once a day and the fanning up to like 6 times a day long story short they've had pins for a few days now I had to leave them unattended the last 36 hours so no fanning just got back they look like this its my first grow but I thought they'd be bigger by now and I know aborts have black heads they have like dark brown heads but they've been this color since the beginning are they fine or did they abort

I know it's not the best pic I only have a phone though

It is hard to tell from the pics but usually mushrooms only take about 5 days to fully mature from pins

They look fine to me, though maybe like you were playing basketball with the substrate . Looks like it'll be a good flush, seems they're trying to expand but there's no room, and the white spots on the cap indicate too much humidity. Try giving it more FAE or putting it into a fruiting chamber and treat it as a big cake.

White spots (fawn spots) on the caps do not indicate anything. It is a feature of cubensis that can vary depending on indivdual genetics. It is my favorite feature of a cube. I love the ones with lots of fawn spots! They're beautiful!

Ah, if it's in a shotgun then I think it's going to be fine as you were. It looked as if they were preparing to fill a much larger surface than you have in the pic so that explains the curvature.

So they did some more growing. Turns out they weren't aborts, aparently koh samui super strain are not the best on cakes and the first flush ends up really small and fat.

As you can see my mushrooms look like midget mushrooms hopefully the second flush is better I have a tray and a monotub I just put into fruiting conditions yesterday of the same strain. Hopefully they get better results than the cakes. Anyway a lot of people think the little guys are really potent.
