ID Request: Panaeolus cinctulus? * 1

Habitat:
I found these growing near the apartment building where I live in the landscaped grass.



Gills:
dark brown gills

Stem:
3-4", thin brown, hollow and smooth.  No blue bruising

Cap:
3/4" diameter, brown, smooth, normal mushroom shape, slight darker color nearer rim

Spore print color:
black

Bruising:
no noticable bruising

Location:
Near Houston, TX


















Obviously first post, but have been lurking for a while, please correct any ettiquette for ID request, thanks all!

The ID request was great. Nice work.

Nice clear shots of multiple fruits from multiple angles.
That is always a good move.

I could call that P. cinctulus. The fruits look like foensecii but
the print looks black on my end.

I think they look more like foes but I don't know. Everywhere the light hits in the print pictures it looks brown so the print could just look dark.

Thanks very much.  I now know where to keep looking around here.  It's been raining a lot for Houston the last week or so, and there have been all kinds of mushrooms growing everywhere, so I've just been on the lookout.  I'll post more pictures of any more finds.  Thanks again!

After some experimentation, I have to say that they ended up being Panaeolus foensecii.  Now when I come across the real thing, I will know that my spore prints were BLACKISH-BROWN, and not truly JET BLACK.
