A few questions- lots of metabolites and inconsistent temperature

I have two cakes in the FC. They are 50/50 straw/manure spawned from WBS. They look great but there is a lot of piss on them, there is puddles of yellow liquid on top of the cakes.
Is this a bad thing? should I just leave it there?
Also, Im using a crappy space heater to heat my room. It dosen't keep the temperature consistent, it goes from 75-68 im assuming. Is this a problem? I have no other way of heating my room.
Thanks in advance

No, metabolites aren't necessarily a bad thing. You probably have some bacteria in there, but it's not really such a big deal. I'd sponge up those metabolites with a paper towel or something, but that's entirely up to you.
Temperatures fluctuating from 68-75F is actually just about perfect. These guys are spring and fall fruiters that seem to like mild temperature swings.

yeah but the temperature is constantly changing during the day. It would be different if it stayed 75 during the day and 68 at night.

Do you wipe off your metabolites? I'm not trying to say it's wrong, I'm just thinking the myc produced it for a reason. Last time I tilted my tub to the sides so the metabolites dispersed (spread it self out) all over the sub. Looked kind of yellow and weirdish, but I figured it's medicine?
edit: no more editing, I'm a little extra tonight and not a native english speaking

Yeah, WillSolvem and I have a difference of opinion on that. More to follow at a later date on that, but let's just say I took up the challenge he posed in his metabolite thread.
I do mop up heavy pools of metabolites, but I leave droplets in place. The reason I mop up the pools is because I don't want them to aid in the spread of bacteria from one place to the next--I'm unconvinced psilocybe metabolites are as effective antibiotic agents as, say, penicillium.

Hehe, I tried to keep up with willsolvems thread for a while, but it took a hard left turn for my understanding of the subject. Interesting to hear it's still going, hoping for some conclusions to follow soon

I got some of it off. I read somewhere that excess metabolites are common when using manure so im not going to bother. I'm more concerned about the temperature changes

Temp changes are fine. They help with air exchange by moving things around. Mushrooms hate steady temperature and steady humidity. Keep things moving. RR
