Ruh Roh! Cobweb in the middle of my mycelium!?
    #18906667 - 09/29/13 11:26 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

What do you guys think? Is that a bit of cobweb stuck in my colonized mycelium? If it is, should i wait it out and see if the mycelium can overtake it? Or could i try and add some Hydrogen Peroxide?

Thanks all

EDIT: Sorry for not the best quality but oh well :/

Those aren't very good pictures at all. But there's a serious discoloration there which is a contamination.

Uhg but literally just the other day all that area looked like WBS without any discoloration and the mycelium was moving in to colonize! Now all of the sudden somehow a contam ended up in there :C

Looks like bacteria to me.

How to snap a good picture:

1) Place jar on flat surface.

2) Turn camera flash off.

3) Turn room lights on.

4) Brace camera against something.

5) Make sure the jar is in focus.

6) Snap picture.

:goodluck:

Ok i appreciate the picture taking advice but thats not what this thread is about. If you cant tell what it is by the pics i have uploaded then don't bother responding.

Er i mean that in the nicest way possible (especially to my hero, my stunning savior of light that defeats the darkness, frank <3 ).

:P

Ok so.. both uh.. "things" are not expanding. It's like the myc wont go any further and the bacteria or mold or whatever it is, is stuck. I may try and take better pics tomorrow.. cause i wanted to spawn in two days lol
